As a traveler and adventurer, Carol has always been most drawn -- not to landscapes -- but to people who inhabit the worlds of adventure. This is a natural outgrowth of her curiosity and visual excitement and works in tandem with her personal history activities. Her humanity and empathy enables her to take tender and vivid portraits of indigenous people and their surroundings. Carol’s photographs are portraits of the people she encounters, on pushcarts, selling goods, herding animals, weaving or just quietly sitting.
